"TOMOSIJADA" BECOMES A PRNJAVOR TRADEMARK

Štrpci, a village near Prnjavor, was the proud host of the fifth annual “Tomosijada,” a growing gathering of Tomos motorcycle enthusiasts that continues to attract more participants each year, becoming one of the region’s most recognizable events.

"TOMOSIJADA" BECOMES A PRNJAVOR TRADEMARK

Nikola Brković, president of the Tomos Club Štrpci, announced that starting this year, the event will be held on a fixed date—the third weekend of August annually.

“Each year, the number of participants increases, with motorcycle lovers arriving from various municipalities. This year, we introduced several new features, including a raffle supported by ten more sponsors than last year. What makes our event truly unique in Bosnia and Herzegovina is that entrance, food, and drinks are completely free for all participants,” said Brković, according to Prnjavorinfo.com.

This year’s motorcade followed a scenic route through Prnjavor, Kremna, and Brestovo, before returning to the club’s base in Štrpci for continued festivities.

Support for the event also came from the mayor of Prnjavor, Darko Tomaš, who expressed his satisfaction with how “Tomosijada” is evolving into a local tradition.

“‘Tomosijada’ is one of the most important events in our town. It’s unique not only in Prnjavor but across the entire Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. I am confident that it will grow even bigger in the coming years and become a lasting tradition that will elevate Štrpci to a new level,” said Tomaš, adding that, as a Štrpci local himself, he deeply appreciates the organizers' dedication.

The atmosphere reached new heights this year, as confirmed by visitors from other cities.

Siniša Mirčić from Banja Luka noted that events like this are missing in his hometown:

“We even met fellow Banja Luka residents here we didn’t know shared our passion for motorcycles. The hosts were absolutely top-notch.”

Marko Marin from Kostajnica attended “Tomosijada” for the first time:

“We couldn’t make it last year, but we did this time and have no regrets. The organization is excellent, and the atmosphere is truly one of a kind,” he said.

And the excitement in Štrpci doesn’t stop there. Already next weekend, the village will host another major event. The largest oldtimer gathering in the region will take place at the Lug swimming pools, organized under the patronage of the Oldtimer Club Prnjavor.
