This August, the municipality of Ribnik becomes the host of a unique summer event that promises to grow into a recognizable and beloved tradition in the years to come – "The Summer in Ribnik."
From August 29 to 31, visitors from near and far will have the opportunity to experience a vibrant blend of untouched nature, live music, traditional cuisine, and open-air social gatherings.
The program offers something for everyone – camping in Rastoka, hiking tours, children’s workshops, authentic local food, evening concerts, and community-driven clean-up actions to restore and beautify nearby viewpoints.
The goal is to celebrate nature, nurture a sense of unity, and spark new energy in the community.
Just days earlier, on August 23, Ribnik will also host the very first KURUZ FEST – a dynamic new festival that brings fresh content and creative energy to the area. The name stands for Culture • Art • Development • In • Community, and symbolizes a playful mix of tradition, innovation, and of course – a tribute to corn (“kuruz” in the local dialect).
With the river Sana flowing nearby, and the spirit of togetherness in the air, Ribnik invites everyone to be a part of this exciting new chapter.
