FISHERMEN WITH A HEART: 400 PEOPLE RECEIVED A MEAL OF LOVE

Members of the "Riba" Sports Fishing Association from Bijeljina prepared Lenten meals for 400 socially vulnerable residents, and this year they extended the initiative to include the areas of Ugljevik and Lopare, the Association’s president Miodrag Đukić told SRNA.

“Our association has been organizing the preparation and distribution of Lenten meals on Good Friday for this category of citizens for the past ten years,” Đukić said.

He stated that 50 volunteers from the Association cooked 200 liters of fish stew, fried over 250 kilograms of fish, and colored around 1,000 eggs in order to distribute them to users of the public kitchen in Bijeljina — about 300 people — as well as to approximately 100 of the most vulnerable residents in Lopare and Ugljevik.
