Restoration work on Anđelka’s Gate, one of the must-see tourist attractions in the Old Town of Trebinje, is nearing completion, bringing a refreshed look to this historic landmark.
The
renovation has included newly restored stone walls, carefully re-grouted to
preserve their authenticity while enhancing their visual appeal. Adding to the
charm, new greenery has been planted around the site, including agave,
lavender, and bougainvillea—plants that lend a distinct Mediterranean
atmosphere to the space.
Decorative lighting has also been installed, designed to highlight the beauty of Anđelka’s Gate during the evening hours, creating an inviting ambiance for both locals and visitors. A wrought-iron fence has been placed around the green areas, further refining the overall appearance of the site.
According
to local outlet “Trebinje Live,” a new sign bearing the name “Anđelka’s Gate”
is expected to be installed in the coming days, completing the final touches on
the project.
With
these upgrades, Anđelka’s Gate is set to continue captivating visitors as a
symbol of Trebinje’s rich cultural heritage, now presented in an even more
striking setting.
