Passengers traveling from Banjaluka who had planned trips to Switzerland this spring will need to adjust their plans, as airline Wizz Air will temporarily replace its flights to Basel with a new route to Stuttgart.
The
change will come into effect in mid-April and will last for one month. The main
reason for the adjustment is planned runway reconstruction works at Basel
Airport, which will affect regular flight operations.
In
order to maintain connectivity with the region, Wizz Air has decided to
redirect flights to Stuttgart Airport in Germany during this period.
Important information for passengers using Banjaluka Airport (Mahovljani):
Validity
period: From April 16 to May 19, 2026
Frequency:
Flights on the Banjaluka–Stuttgart route will operate four times per week
Tickets:
Ticket sales for these flights have already started and are available on the
airline’s official website
In
addition to Banjaluka, the same temporary change will apply to flights from
Niš, Tuzla, and Ohrid, which will also be connected to Stuttgart instead of
Basel during this period.
Passengers
are advised to check their reservations and flight details in advance. After
May 20, air traffic is expected to return to the regular route to Basel
Airport.
