The City of Derventa has confirmed that Slađa Alegro will headline the celebration of Orthodox New Year’s Eve on January 13, 2026, at Trg Pravoslavlja. The evening will kick off with DJ Segi, who will warm up the atmosphere before the main performance.
Visitors will be welcomed with mulled wine, and a special program is prepared for the youngest attendees.
“We always make sure that our youngest visitors enjoy the celebration, but also that the adults are satisfied. None of this would be possible without the support of the City Administration, led by the mayor, which is the general patron of this event. For children, we have prepared an entertaining program and various activities such as face painting,” said Dalibor Đekić, president of the Serbian Educational and Cultural Society Prosvjeta.
The program begins at 8 p.m.
As tradition dictates, half an hour before midnight a prayer service will be held for believers at the Cathedral Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God, followed by a fireworks display to mark the arrival of the new year.
The event is organized by Prosvjeta, with support from the Tourist Organization, the Center for Culture, and the Serbian Orthodox Church municipality.
