REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA SHOWCASES ITS TOURISM OFFER AT AUSTRIA’S LARGEST TRAVEL FAIR

The Tourist Organization of the Republic of Srpska (TORS) is taking part in the international tourism fair Ferien-Messe in Vienna, Austria, which is being held from January 15 to 18, 2026.

The presentation of the Republic of Srpska’s tourism offer is once again being realized in cooperation with the Representation Office of the Republic of Srpska in Vienna and the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of the Government of the Republic of Srpska.

Ferien-Messe is the largest tourism fair in Austria and, as such, attracts a significant number of Austrian tour operators and industry professionals. The event brings together representatives from 70 countries worldwide, features more than 700 exhibitors, and records over 150,000 visitors

According to the organizers, Austria represents an important market for the Republic of Srpska due to its size, geographic proximity, and the travel habits of Austrian tourists.

Data from the Republic Institute of Statistics of the Republic of Srpska show that tourists from Austria recorded 16,203 overnight stays, marking an increase of 12.5 percent compared to the previous year.

This year’s presentation focuses on city tourism, spa and wellness centers, rafting and canyoning, rural tourism, summer activities, cultural and historical heritage, gastronomy, and other forms of active tourism for which Austrian tourists have shown particular interest. The overall tourism offer for the upcoming season is also being promoted at the fair.
