FUN ZONE EVENT DRAWS LARGE CROWD OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN BANJA LUKA

Another edition of "Kasperijada," the popular children’s sports and entertainment event, was held in the new city park near Delta Planet in Banja Luka — and this year’s gathering was the biggest one yet. The fun-filled polygon of games, socializing, and sports brought together a large number of children and their families.

Banja Luka Mayor Draško Stanivuković emphasized that families are at the core of the city administration’s focus and that the realization of such projects is of great importance.

“Everything we do, we do for our children,” said Stanivuković. “As our children are today, so will Banja Luka and the Republic of Srpska be in the future. This is just one of many events that we support throughout the year. It’s a testament to how Banja Luka values families — the city even established a dedicated department to care for families and demographic policy.”

Filip Babić, founder and coach of the "Kasper" sports school, thanked the city for its wholehearted support and highlighted the importance of this event.

“This is the fourth consecutive year we’re organizing ‘Kasperijada.’ Until now, it has been held in various locations, but we moved it to the city park this year because last year’s venue at Mladen Stojanović Park was too small for the number of participants. This park has proven to be the perfect place for large gatherings. I’m sure we have even more participants this year. I thank the city for recognizing the significance of this event, and I hope next year will bring even more activities. This is the largest gathering of children and families in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Babić added.

Jovan Radovanović, President of the "Četiri Plus" Association, pointed out that for families with multiple children, every day is International Family Day.

“We must keep emphasizing that the family is the most important pillar of our society, and we need to keep working on that,” said Radovanović.

The “Kasperijada” sports caravan aims to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity for preschool and school-aged children. Previous events have shown a clear need for this type of initiative, which brings entire families together.
