A new digital platform called "Discover Krajina" has officially been launched and promoted in Banja Luka, aiming to showcase the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and economic potential of the Krajina region in a modern and interactive way. The platform puts special emphasis on agriculture, tourism, and local development.
Currently, the platform features 151 family farms and has mapped over 100 tourist attractions across several municipalities, including Banja Luka, Čelinac, Kotor Varoš, Mrkonjić Grad, Jezero, Ribnik, Drinić, and Istočni Drvar.
The project is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republika Srpska.
Miloš Galić, manager of the Agricultural Cluster "Krajina", announced that there are also plans to map farms involved in the sale of local products, further expanding the platform’s offerings.
Goran Bursać, Assistant Minister for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, emphasized the importance of rural development incentives provided by the ministry.
"The most significant support goes toward the development of rural tourism. Associations and local communities can apply for grants of up to 50,000 KM for developing tourist facilities, renovating buildings, and similar projects. We've seen a strong response to this measure over the past two years," Bursać explained.
The "Discover Krajina" platform is expected to serve as a valuable tool for promoting the region and connecting local producers with a wider audience, while also encouraging sustainable tourism and rural economic growth.
