Trebinje, the southernmost city of Republika Srpska, will ceremoniously open the 2026 summer tourist season in mid-May with a rich three-day program taking place from May 15 to 17 at Freedom Square and Grad Sunca.
The program kicks off on Friday, May 15, at
Freedom Square. The evening begins at 7 PM with a presentation by the Tourist
Organization of Zlatibor and the Tourist Organization of Dragačevo. At 8 PM,
the audience will enjoy a performance by the cultural and artistic society
“Dragačevski Abrašević,” followed by a concert from the trumpet orchestra of
Miroslav Bunišević starting at 9 PM.
Saturday, May 16, is reserved for promotional activities beginning at 10 AM at Freedom Square.
The highlight of the evening
will be a major concert at Grad Sunca starting at 9 PM, featuring popular
singer Saša Matić. Organizers promise an unforgettable open-air experience.
The final day of the event, Sunday, May 17, is
dedicated to families and children. Starting at 11 AM, Freedom Square will host
a “Family Day” program with animators and children’s games. Visitors will also
be able to enjoy the “Royal Festival,” the “Small Things” cultural stage, as
well as a variety of games and entertainment for the youngest attendees.
This year’s opening of the summer tourist
season in Trebinje once again offers a diverse program for all generations,
combining music, culture, and entertainment, further confirming the city’s
status as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the region.
