FIRST REST AREA ON BANJALUKA-GRADIŠKA HIGHWAY TO OPEN

The first rest area on the Banjaluka–Gradiška highway will officially open on June 2 in the village of Lužani, near Gradiška.

This new rest stop is part of the "Super Petrol" gas station complex, offering a much-needed location for drivers to take a break on this major road. It marks a significant development, coming 14 years after the opening of the highway itself.

Construction of the first facility at the "Lužani" rest area began in June 2023, with an original completion and opening deadline set for May 2024. However, the concessionaire, "Super Petrol," requested an additional 12 months due to a number of unforeseen and objective circumstances beyond their control.

The opening of this rest area is expected to greatly improve travel conditions and comfort for drivers along this key route.
