A FRENCHMAN'S JOURNEY TO TREBINJE

Loran, originally from France, has found his true home in Trebinje. Twelve years ago, he arrived in the southern city as a tourist, instantly captivated by both a local woman and the charming surroundings nestled beneath the Leotar Mountain.

His love for Trebinje prevailed over any attachment to Paris.

- I truly feel like I was born here in Trebinje. I have many good neighbors, godparents. I know half the town. The people here are genuinely warm, he said.

In Trebinje, Loran not only found a place to belong but also discovered a deep connection to faith and the Orthodox Church. He faithfully attends liturgies with his family, observes fasts, and embraces the Orthodox faith wholeheartedly.

- For me, the Orthodox faith is beautiful, the truth of faith. I have truly found myself in this religion, he added.

Loran's compassion extends to humanitarian efforts. He quickly integrated into the Sveti Vukašin Foundation, eager to assist those in need.

- We are pleased to have a member like him in the Foundation. He regularly participates in all our activities, and his help means a lot to us, said Siniša Došlo from the Sveti Vukašin Foundation.

Moreover, Loran enjoys every aspect of life in Hercegovina and its surroundings. He particularly appreciates the local gastronomy.

- I prefer homemade food, such as goulash, your cabbage rolls. I had cabbage rolls for the first time here; I didn't know what it was, but I was thrilled with your cuisine. And of course, prosciutto, the cheese in oil is excellent, the Frenchman shared.

A medical technician who has also worked in tourism, Loran currently resides and works in Dubrovnik. However, his heart remains in Trebinje. He dreams of securing permanent employment in the city, obtaining Bosnian-Herzegovinian citizenship, and fulfilling his wish.

- Through this message, I invite all good-hearted people to come and support the work of the Sveti Vukašin Foundation, he concluded.
