OLDEST BRIDE IN REPUBLIKA SRPSKA WAS 92 YEARS OLD LAST YEAR

The oldest groom in Republika Srpska in 2023 was 88 years old, while the oldest bride was 92, according to data from the Republika Srpska Institute of Statistics.

The youngest groom who entered into marriage was 17 years old, while the youngest bride was 16, as stated in the Institute's publication titled "This is Republika Srpska, 2024."

The average age of brides at the time of marriage was 29.3 years, while women entering their first marriage did so at an average age of 27.6 years.

For grooms, the average age at marriage was 32.3 years, with first-time grooms marrying at an average age of 30.4 years.

In Republika Srpska, an average of 178 divorces occur for every 1,000 marriages.

The oldest husband to divorce in 2023 was 86 years old, while the oldest wife was 80.

When it comes to the duration of marriages that ended in divorce, the shortest lasted less than three months, while the longest endured for 50 years.

Between 2019 and 2023, life expectancy increased by 1.7 years. In 2023, the average life expectancy for women was 81.7 years, while for men, it was 76.04 years.
