WHAT FAMILIES IN REPUBLIKA SRPSKA SPENT THE MOST MONEY ON THIS FALL

In September 2024, the highest average salary in Republika Srpska was paid in the finance and insurance sectors, amounting to 1,899 BAM, while the lowest, 1,118 BAM, was received by workers in the construction industry.

According to the Union of Trade Unions of Republika Srpska, the average net salary in September was 1,412 BAM, an increase of 1 BAM compared to August.

Low average salaries in September were recorded among workers in the manufacturing industry (1,216 BAM), the transport and storage sector (1,141 BAM), and the accommodation and food services, including hospitality and tourism, where the average was 1,134 BAM.

The trade union consumer basket for September was 2,625 BAM, covering only 53.78% of the average salary, as stated by the Union of Trade Unions of Republika Srpska.

The trade union consumer basket includes expenses for food, housing and utilities, household maintenance, clothing and footwear, hygiene and health care, transportation, education, and culture.

Families in Republika Srpska spent the most on food in September, totaling 1,190 BAM.

Housing and utilities required 651 BAM, transportation 226 BAM, while clothing and footwear cost 204 BAM, and household maintenance expenses in September amounted to 151 BAM.
