Four skateboard models have been recalled from the market in Bosnia and Herzegovina due to serious consumer safety risks, the Market Surveillance Agency of BiH announced.
Two models, totaling 131 units, were found to have administrative non-compliance issues, which have since been corrected.
To determine whether the skateboards met the prescribed safety standards, laboratory tests were conducted on seven product samples, alongside an administrative review of labeling and manufacturer-provided information. This included details on construction, maintenance, servicing, and usage, as well as a visual inspection of specific safety features.
The results showed that six out of the seven tested skateboard models failed to meet the safety requirements outlined in the BAS EN 13613:2012 standard.
The inspection was carried out jointly by the Agency and relevant authorities in Republika Srpska, the Federation of BiH, and Brčko District.
