HOW AND WHEN TO USE TOURISM VOUCHERS IN REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

As of June 1, adult citizens of Republika Srpska can take advantage of subsidized stays in hospitality establishments through the government's tourism voucher program.

According to the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska, 31 accommodation facilities and four travel agencies from various parts of the region are currently participating in the program, with more businesses in the process of registering.

Every adult citizen of Republika Srpska, as well as citizens residing in the Brčko District who hold citizenship of Republika Srpska, regardless of their income level, is eligible to use the voucher.

The value of each tourism voucher is 100 BAM and can be used once during the periods from June 1 to June 30 and from September 1 to November 30. The voucher covers accommodation services including overnight stay with breakfast, regardless of the total price of the service.

The Ministry clarified that one voucher can be used for a minimum stay of two consecutive nights. Two users can combine their vouchers for a minimum of three consecutive nights. Additionally, if the trip is booked through a travel agency, at least three users can use their vouchers for a minimum of three consecutive nights.

The Ministry also reminded the public that the call for registration of accommodation providers and travel agencies remains open throughout the duration of the project, which is set to run from June 1 to June 30 and again from September 1 to November 30.
