The city of Gradiška is once again preparing a rich and diverse program for the “Gradiška Summer on the Sava 2026” festival, which will offer a wide range of cultural, sporting, entertainment, and gastronomic events from June through August.
The
event officially begins on June 12 with the 9th Children's Literary Creativity
Festival, while collectors and history enthusiasts will have the opportunity to
visit the 34th “Denarius” Antique and Collectibles Fair the following day.
June
will also feature an exhibition of works created during the “Dr. Borislav
Šokčević” Art Workshop, a book promotion for local author Nada Golić’s work
Whirlpools of Life, and the traditional Vidovdan Fair “Homes of Lijevče and
Potkozarje.”
Sports
enthusiasts will have plenty to enjoy as well. The “Bravo” Mini Football
Tournament will take place from June 21 to July 1, while early July will bring
the 21st Folklore Festival, one of the city’s most significant cultural events.
Mid-July
is reserved for outdoor sports and recreation. The “Sunrise” Beach Volleyball
Tournament will be held at Bok Jankovac, while the banks of the Sava River will
host the traditional Sava Regatta, an event that attracts a large number of
participants and visitors every year.
Fans of comedy can look forward to the Festival of Laughter, while the city park will transform into a venue for Wine Park, an event dedicated to promoting wine culture and gastronomy.
The
program continues throughout August with the Sava Fishing Evenings, the popular
Streetball Basketball Tournament, and the Craft Beer & Street Food Fest,
which will combine excellent food, craft beverages, and live music.
One of
the highlights of this year’s program will be the Vortex Urban Music Festival,
scheduled for August 13 and 14, when Gradiška will welcome numerous performers
and fans of contemporary music.
The
festival will conclude from August 14 to 16 with the “Gradiška Open 3x3” Grass
Volleyball Tournament, bringing to a close another summer filled with
activities for both residents and visitors.
According
to the organizers, the goal of the event is to further promote Gradiška as a
city of culture, sports, and tourism, while creating high-quality attractions
that will draw visitors from across the region during the summer months.
