KARLEUŠA'S UPCOMING BANJA LUKA CONCERT UNDER FIRE AFTER POLICE INTERVENTION IN LOZNICA

After Jelena Karleuša’s concert in Loznica was abruptly interrupted last night with police in riot gear stepping in, the burning question is whether a similar scenario awaits her in Banja Luka.

Social media is already ablaze, with growing calls to ban her scheduled performance at Kastel Fortress on September 13, an event supported by the City of Banja Luka.

Many citizens, led by activist Tihomir Dakić, are demanding that Mayor Draško Stanivuković withdraw official patronage, as he previously did with singer Breskvica’s concert.

“Let’s go people, action! Share and tag Draško Stanivuković and demand that he remove the City’s emblem and ban the concert just like he did with Breskvica! Karleuša is not welcome in my city, especially not with taxpayer support!” Dakić wrote in a viral post that quickly gained support and shares.

The tense situation in Loznica, where Karleuša was evacuated from the stage mid-performance, has only fueled speculation.

This comes as the pop star continues to spark controversies in recent months, particularly after her outspoken criticism of students participating in protests across Serbia.

Whether Banja Luka will follow Loznica’s example remains to be seen. One thing, however, is certain — Karleuša can no longer count on the warm welcome of many Banja Luka residents, reports Srpskainfo.
