Basketball club Jahorina is forming a team for its debut in the BiH Championship, and the current champion of Republika Srpska will play a friendly match against EuroLeague team Crvena Zvezda on August 28.
This event will be a spectacular preview for the upcoming
season, and basketball fans will have the opportunity to see the new team in
action. The arrival of the ABA and Serbian League champion is sure to attract
great interest.
The club's management has already accomplished a significant
part of the job. They have retained the coaching staff and seven players from
last season and are now focusing on bringing in new reinforcements.
Following the agreement with Americans Barlow Aleric and Ryan Carter, Jahorina has officially introduced two more new players: Rajko Gutalj and Marko Buha. Gutalj previously played for Budućnost Bijeljina and Prijedor Spartak, while Buha, a youth representative for BiH, has played for Igokea Aleksandrovac and Radnik Bijeljina.
Coach Miro Vukoje has officially extended his contract and
is now actively working on assembling the team and preparing for the new
season.
"We continue our collaboration with the aim of being
successful in the new season. I have coached teams in the BiH League, so I know
what to expect. We have retained the core of the team and are now bringing in
new players. We are creating a team that will be a mix of youth and experience,
and we have enough time to gel for our debut in the BiH Championship. We will
also bring in some experienced players who have already played in this
competition, as we need that for a higher level," Vukoje told "Glas
Srpske."
