ASSISTANCE NEEDED FOR CHAPEL CONSTRUCTION IN BERKOVIĆI

Jerej Dejan Grčić from the Dabar parish has stated that assistance from people of goodwill is essential for the continuation of the chapel construction project currently underway in Berkovići.

The chapel holds significant importance for the residents of the municipality.

Grčić reported that the first floor of the chapel has been completed, but further progress, including the installation of the roof, fitting of windows and doors, interior furnishing, and landscaping of the surroundings, requires support. The initial estimated cost of the project was approximately 400,000 KM, with construction now halfway through.

The chapel's construction holds particular significance for the Berkovići community, providing a gathering place especially during funerals when the lack of suitable facilities poses challenges, particularly in the harsh winters of the region.

Originally slated for completion by the end of the year, the project's timeline may be impacted without additional aid. The Dabar Church parish has issued a call for support from individuals able to contribute, noting an initial positive response from those willing to assist.
