Although it is still winter on the calendar, sunny February weekends in the south of Republika Srpska have turned Trebinje into a true Mediterranean postcard.
Clear
skies and mild temperatures drew numerous residents out for walks and coffee in
the garden terraces beneath the town’s famous plane trees, where finding a free
table was no easy task. The lively atmosphere under the centuries-old trees
reflected the relaxed spirit that defines life in the south.
Entire families used the day to enjoy the Herzegovinian sunshine, strolling through the old streets and soaking up the warmth that felt more like early spring than mid-winter.
Trebinje
once again proved why many call it the city of the sun. A winter day that
resembled the beginning of spring confirmed that the south of Republika Srpska
can offer warmth in February – both in temperature and in hospitality.
