On the anniversary of this tragic event, participants symbolically placed white roses on 16 empty chairs, representing the young lives lost.

The gathering took place in silence and without speeches or banners, and attendees observed 16 minutes of silence – one minute for each victim.

Today has been declared a Day of Mourning in Republika Srpska by the Government, as a mark of condolence and solidarity with the families of those who perished in Novi Sad.

Participants emphasized that the event was not only a sign of solidarity with the victims’ families but also a reminder of society’s responsibility towards youth, their safety, and their right to live without fear or injustice.
