The eighth "Salon Žilavke" will be held on August 18th at the Wine Gallery "Vukoje" in Trebinje. This event has attracted more than 10,000 wine tourists and guests from the region and beyond in previous years, according to an announcement from the winery.
"Traditionally, alongside the winemakers, there will be
cheese, prosciutto, and other typical and traditional food producers from
Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since last year, the 'Salon' has also hosted
Herzegovinian olive growers, and this year, olive oil from all major producers
in this region will be showcased," the statement said.
The "Salon Žilavke" in Trebinje first gathered Žilavka producers from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina in one place in 2017.
At last year's "Salon," exhibitors presented
around 80 different new labels of this typical Herzegovinian wine variety. The
event was covered by 61 accredited journalists from Bosnia and Herzegovina,
Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Italy, and Austria.
The eighth "Salon Žilavke" in Trebinje will take
place from 7:00 PM to midnight.
