DILARA SHARES HER TURKISH COFFEE RECIPE AND LIFE ON THE BALKANS

Dilara is a Turkish woman who married Aleksandar a few years ago, and the couple now lives in Bosnia and Herzegovina in a happy marriage.

She is a very friendly and cheerful young woman who is extremely active on social media, often posting about her life on the Balkans, as reported by Krstarica. Dilara is known under the username @jednaturkinja, and aside from sharing interesting life situations, funny videos, and cultural differences between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina, she enjoys sharing practical tips and traditional Turkish recipes on her profile.

On one occasion, she showed how to make authentic, frothy Turkish coffee, and we’re sharing her recipe in full.

Here are Dilara's instructions: First, measure the water for one cup, pour it into the cezve, then add one teaspoon of coffee. Stir briefly, but continue cooking without stirring. Once it boils, scoop the foam with a spoon and place it into the prepared cup. Then, put the coffee pot back on the stove and wait for it to boil again, and pour the rest into the cup. You’ll notice that the process is different from the usual way we make coffee at home, and the result is much stronger coffee.
