MIRACULOUS APPEARANCE ON A TREE IN BIJELJINA

At the intersection of the streets Svetog Save and Kneginje Milice in Bijeljina, there is an ash tree with a miraculous image of Jesus Christ.

In the spot where a branch was cut off, the image of Jesus Christ appeared, as if painted by an iconographer.

The icon radiates peace and kindness.

It is said that workers from the public utility company were trimming the branches, and while cutting the one where the icon appeared, the chainsaw chain broke three times.

A month later, a woman noticed the image of Christ. The news quickly spread throughout the town, and that very evening, a stream of people started heading towards the site. On its bark, if you strain your eyes, another figure resembling Saint Sava can be seen. There are also two intertwined snakes on the tree. Additionally, Cyrillic letters forming the word "peace" and Roman numerals are faintly visible below – explained by the Bijeljina Tourism Organization.

A prayer service was held at this location after the appearance of Christ’s image on the ash tree, and services are held here every young Friday.
