In the heart of Banja Luka, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Vrbas River, Vesna Veselinović, Tajana Cvijetić, Neda Gavrić, and Nataša Lazukić, along with the talented cellist Tara Stjepanović, created an unforgettable moment of poetry and music.
As part of the Summer on the Vrbas event, they first had a
daytime ride on the dajaks, where they read poetry during the journey. This was
followed by a night ride, whose enchanting atmosphere further emphasized the
romantic spirit of the entire event. The dajak and the Kastel fortress, symbols
of the largest city in the Republic of Srpska, provided the perfect backdrop
for this poetic adventure.
Vesna Veselinović, a healthcare worker, and Tajana Cvijetić,
a journalist, write poetry from the depths of their souls. Neda Gavrić, a
longtime writer with three collections of poetry and a book of short stories,
hosts a show called "Style" as a journalist. Nataša Lazukić is an
actress who performs in amateur plays and a journalist who loves reading other
authors' poetry.
These talented women are members of the Poetry Theater Imperativ, a platform that gathers poetry enthusiasts and amateur artists. Within the Theater, Vesna, Tajana, and Nataša recited poetry and performed a stage adaptation of a book by Lidija Deduš, which addresses the traumas of modern women.
The idea of reading poetry on the dajak was initiated by Vesna, and the others embraced it enthusiastically.
At a concert by Stjepan Hauser, Vesna met Tara Stjepanović,
who perfectly fit into the event's concept, playing the cello while others read
poetry. We must also acknowledge the great team from the Dajak Club Banja Luka,
who supported this project and facilitated unforgettable rides.
Nataša read poetry by other poets, while Vesna, Tajana, and
Neda presented their works. Everything came together beautifully, like a puzzle
– the right people in the right place, bringing an idea to life from the heart.
This diverse group, connected by their love for poetry,
people, and all things beautiful, demonstrated that love can be the driving
force behind everything we do. Their motivation stemmed from the enthusiasm to
capture magical moments of everyday life and showcase the diversity of poetry
and the natural beauty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in this case, Kastel and Banja
Luka.
