This year’s “Trotoart” festival in Banja Luka promises a vibrant and diverse program filled with creative content for all generations, with special attention given to children and young people.
The festival kicks off on June 9 at 7:00 PM with the opening of the art exhibition “Art Week – Gymnasium Banja Luka” at the Youth Center. The exhibition, which will be open for seven days, showcases the artistic talent of high school students.
In addition to the exhibition, students from the Gymnasium will perform a live art piece titled “Art Through Time” on Sunday, June 15 at 9:00 PM, at the "Parkić" promenade area between the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and the Ban Milosavljević monument. Both the exhibition and performance are organized in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Children’s workshops take center stage on June 9 and 10, with face painting sessions led by artists Branka Repac, Jelena Pucar, and Marijana Kretić at “Parkić.” On Wednesday, June 11, at the same location, Nina Milutinović will guide children through a “Recycled Art – Collage Creation” workshop.
On June 13, the renowned Clown Barabba from Istria, Croatia, will perform at Krajina Square at 6:45 PM, offering laughter and entertainment for all.
The weekend of June 14 and 15 will transform Petar Kočić Park into a hub of activity and joy, with a variety of engaging programs for children, teens, and their families.

On Saturday night, June 14 at 9:45 PM, the Park of Liberation will host a screening of animated films, held in cooperation with the Animation Society of the Republic of Srpska. Prior to the screening, the “Animacycle” mobile projection will begin at 9:00 PM, showing animations along the route from Krajina Square to the park.
The final day of the festival, June 15, brings a duo performance “Mr & Mrs Frantic” (Croatia/Poland) at 6:30 PM, followed by a “Street Show” by the Dankan Theater and Dance Club at 7:00 PM, both held at “Parkić.”
The Trotoart Festival runs from June 9 to 15, organized by the City of Banja Luka and the City Tambura Orchestra of Banja Luka, offering a week-long celebration of art, performance, and community joy.
