"JUHU FEST" FROM APRIL 1st TO 6th

The third edition of the festival for children and families - "Juhu Fest" will be held from April 1st to 6th at the Banja Luka City Theatre "Jazavac".

"JUHU FEST" FROM APRIL 1st TO 6th

On this occasion, it was announced from "Jazavac" that the goal of the "Juhu Fest" project is to bring and entertain a large number of children (preschoolers and elementary school students) to the cultural institution with quality programs selected for their age group.

"At the preschool and school age, there is a problem of insufficient socialization among children; they are moving less, the cultural aspect is neglected, and children spend most of their time in front of smartphone screens. Psychologists point out the trend of increasing autistic children, a higher number of violence in schools, as well as the lack of parental attention," reported from "Jazavac".

This theatre emphasizes that "Juhu Fest" is significant for the socialization of children.

"Taking into account the facts about today's family lifestyle and the time children spend away from the family, with digital devices and content that are readily available but not suitable for children, we believe that the time children spend with their parents with quality content created by theatre professionals is precious for their development, both mentally and physically. This is important for children's socialization and influence on their intellectual, cognitive, and emotional abilities," reported from the Banja Luka City Theatre "Jazavac".

As stated by "Jazavac", this is a cultural event for the whole family.

"Considering all the activities preceding the arrival at the performance (reservation and purchase of tickets, coming to the theatre, activities with children and parents, conversations), as well as part of the festival program in which parents and children participate together, indirect beneficiaries are all members of the family, with a special emphasis on the new program - Juhu Quiz," explained in the statement.

The significance of the project, as further stated, is recognized multiple times.

"By implementing this project, we would work on multiple significances. Firstly, there is education and socialization of children as an extremely important aspect. The significance of this project has been recognized by the City of Banja Luka, Infomedia, Drvoprodeks, Hotel Jelena, and Metromedia, who supported our work and made it easier for us to organize all events during the festival," concluded in the statement from the Banja Luka City Theatre "Jazavac".
