BENEATH THE SURFACE – SLOGAN OF THIS YEAR’S TEATAR FEST “PETAR KOČIĆ”

The Teatar Fest “Petar Kočić” will take place from June 3 to 9 at the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska, featuring a competitive program of five performances from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.

According to the organizers at the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska, the festival’s selector is actress Nataša Ivančević.

Out of 38 submitted productions, Ivančević selected the following for this year’s lineup:

“Wooden Birds”, written by Lidija Deduš and directed by Ivan Plazibat, a co-production of the Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin and the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb;

“Acid”, written by Asja Krsmanović and directed by Nermin Hamzagić, co-produced by the Bosnian National Theatre Zenica, the 23rd Festival of BH Drama “Zenica Spring 24,” and Scene MESS Sarajevo;

“Redemption”, based on the novel by Branimir Šćepanović and directed by Veljko Mićunović, produced by the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad;

“The Other Side”, an original project by Boris Liješević, produced by the Montenegrin National Theatre in Podgorica;

“Central Office for Humor”, written by Đorđe Kosić and directed by Olja Đorđević, produced by the National Theatre in Belgrade.

This year’s festival carries the symbolic and thought-provoking slogan “BENEATH THE SURFACE.”
