BANJALUKA ĆEVAP OFFICIALLY PROTECTED

The Banjaluka ćevap has been officially protected with the designation of a Guaranteed Traditional Specialty and has been registered in the Register of Guaranteed Traditional Specialties.

The decision was made by the Food Safety Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and was published in the Official Gazette of BiH on September 12th of this year. The request for its protection was submitted on March 22nd by the Association for the Preservation of Guaranteed Tradition of Banjaluka Ćevap Specialties.

"The Commission has determined that the submitted request is complete and valid," states the decision published in the Official Gazette of BiH.

This decision means that every producer of the product called Banjaluka ćevap, or any user of the designation, as well as every participant in the production, processing, and distribution chain listed in the product specification, must go through the process of conformity assessment with the product specification at an authorized body for conformity assessment.
