Banjaluka is increasingly positioning itself as a serious regional hub for health and wellness tourism, a message clearly delivered from Vienna during the international conference “Booking Health in Srpska.”
Minja
Šurlan, Director of the Tourist Organization of the City of Banjaluka,
participated as a panelist at the conference held at the Albert Hall Conference
Center in Vienna.
Speaking
at the panel titled “Growing Old Together with Quality in Europe –
Rehabilitation, Prevention and Quality of Life,” Šurlan presented Banjaluka’s
experiences and strategic ideas for integrating tourism and healthcare services
in the development of health tourism in Banja Luka and the Republika Srpska.
She emphasized the importance of connecting medical expertise, rehabilitation services, preventive healthcare programs and high-quality hospitality infrastructure in order to create a comprehensive and competitive health tourism product.
According to her presentation, Banjaluka has strong potential
to attract visitors seeking recovery, preventive treatments, and wellness
programs in a natural and relaxing environment.
As
announced by the Tourist Organization, participation in this conference is part
of broader promotional efforts aimed at positioning Banjaluka as a reliable and
competitive regional destination for health and wellness tourism.
The
message from Vienna is clear: Banjaluka is ready to combine healthcare
excellence with tourism development, offering visitors not only medical
services, but also an improved quality of life experience in the heart of the
region.
