The eighth edition of "Ćevap Fest," a celebration dedicated to the promotion of the famous Banja Luka ćevap, has officially begun in Mladen Stojanović Park in Banja Luka.
Nebojša Kuštrinović, the official promoter of the event and the face featured on the festival’s logo, told Srna that this year’s festival offers not only a rich gastronomic experience but also an extensive cultural and entertainment program.
The festival will run daily from 10:00 AM until 1:00 AM, concluding on September 11.
A large turnout is once again expected, both from local residents and tourists from across the country and the region.
This year’s event goes beyond just ćevapi, showcasing other local products such as the traditional Zmijanje embroidery and various foods made by small producers from the Banja Luka area.
It’s worth noting that in February of this year, the Banja Luka ćevap was officially recognized with the "Guaranteed Traditional Specialty" (GTS) label, ensuring the preservation of its authentic recipe for generations to come and contributing to the protection of Banja Luka’s rich culinary heritage.
