The Banja Luka Tourist Organization highlights that this project is linked to the World Rafting Championship, which will again be held on the Vrbas River this year.

"This is one of the world competitions in extreme water sports, and notably, it will be the first World Championship held exclusively on our local river, in one of the most beautiful villages in the world – Krupa na Vrbasu. Previous competitions were divided between the Vrbas and Tara rivers," stated the Banja Luka Tourist Organization.

They add that among the picturesque villages of Italy, Austria, Chile, Ecuador, Morocco, Switzerland, Spain, China, and others that should be visited, the village of Krupa na Vrbasu, near Banja Luka, has also found its place.

They also remind that Krupa is on the list that recognizes rural destinations embracing tourism as a driver of development and new opportunities.

"The 'Best Villages in the World' by the World Tourism Organization is a project of the Banja Luka Tourist Organization, through which Krupa na Vrbasu was included among the 52 best villages in the world. Following the list update with 32 additional villages, including Krupa na Vrbasu, we had two visits from an appointed expert. In 2025, we will nominate Krupa na Vrbasu for the list of the top 20 best villages in the world. This is the only village from the Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina on this prestigious list," stated the Banja Luka Tourist Organization.

They also note that another successfully realized project titled "The Most Beautiful Villages of Bosnia and Herzegovina" included Krupa na Vrbasu in the list of the 14 most beautiful villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As part of receiving this recognition, the Tourist Organization installed tourist signage at the entrance and exit of the village.

"A special highlight in the tourist promotion of Banja Luka, through 'CIFFT' membership, is the film 'Postcard from the Irresistible,' a result of collaboration between the Banja Luka Tourist Organization and the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development. The film was submitted for 'CIFFT' membership by the Tourist Organization and will be showcased at nine international tourism film festivals. It won the award for the best urban destination at the festival in Portugal and another award at the festival in Japan held in March this year. The film is also entered for evaluation at the New York festival. Besides the festivals in Japan and New York, the film will be shown at festivals in Los Angeles, Spain, Austria, Serbia, Croatia, France, and Greece," concluded the Banja Luka Tourist Organization.
