The Tourist Organization of the City of Banja Luka hosted a return visit for representatives of the municipality of Kistanje, including associations dedicated to women’s empowerment and the promotion of female entrepreneurship in Croatia.
During
their stay in Banja Luka, guests from the Rural Entrepreneurial Incubator
“Krka” Kistanje and the Women’s Association “Verige” were introduced to
examples of good practice within the local community.
A
special highlight was the presentation of the work of the Women’s Association
“Duga,” which has for years successfully promoted women’s creativity, the
preservation of tradition, and the development of small businesses.
The visitors were also given a detailed introduction to the production of the famous Banja Luka cheese “Trapist.”
Both
sides exchanged experiences, presented their activities, and identified areas
with potential for joint initiatives.
It was
emphasized that, in the period ahead, they intend to jointly apply for European
Union projects and other international donor programs aimed at strengthening
women’s entrepreneurship, fostering cultural cooperation, and supporting sustainable
community development.
The
visit was marked by mutual support, networking, and the establishment of a
foundation for long-term cooperation.
