Winter magic has arrived in Banja Luka! The "Banjalučka Zima" and "Zimzobal" festivities bring a rich and entertaining program over the next month.
Fairies, elves, Santa Claus with loads of gifts, and
dazzling musical and entertainment performances are part of the enchanting
winter experience in the largest city of Republika Srpska.
The winter market "Zimzobal," organized as part of
the extensive "Banjalučka Zima" event, has opened its doors to
residents and numerous visitors, whose numbers continue to grow each year.
Banja Luka's mayor, Draško Stanivuković, emphasized that the
city is setting new attendance records annually, thanks to its exceptional
events.
“The message we want to send is clear—Vienna, Budapest, and Zagreb are great, but here comes Banja Luka. Our ambition is to become the best in the region and beyond when it comes to holiday events,” Stanivuković stated.
He added that even more parts of the city have been
decorated this year and that the program is tailored for everyone.
“Over the years, New Year's events have become a European
brand. This is the time of year when countries and cities attract the highest
number of tourists and events. Four years ago, the mayor envisioned putting
Banja Luka on the tourist map with annual activities that draw visitors to our
city. Ten departments have worked on preparing the city for this, and the
preparations lasted nearly two months,” said the mayor’s advisor, Milada
Šukalo.
She reminded everyone that the "Banjalučka Zima"
program in the coming month will be filled with music, entertainment, and
surprises for the whole family.
