One of the world’s top basketball players and NBA superstar, Nikola Jokić, was recently seen enjoying a rafting trip in Foča, Bosnia and Herzegovina — and the Denver Nuggets made sure fans around the globe got a glimpse of it.
The reigning NBA champion spent time at a rafting camp in Bastasi, about 20 kilometers from Foča, where he appeared relaxed and in high spirits. The Nuggets’ official social media pages posted photos of their franchise icon having fun on the river with friends.
The images quickly went viral, with fans flooding the comments section. While many were amused — with one jokingly writing “Hide the beers!” — others expressed concern about Jokić’s safety.
“Where’s your life vest?” one Nuggets fan asked. Another commented, “You may be the GOAT, but please wear a helmet.” Others pointed out the lack of both a helmet and life jacket, urging the team’s star to take better precautions while enjoying his off-season.
“I’m sure he can stand in the water, but give the man a life vest,” read one of the more humorous but concerned remarks.
After his adventure in Foča, Jokić continued his regional tour with a visit to Montenegro and is now spending time in his hometown of Sombor, Serbia.
