"Which one is your favorite?" asked the "Montenegrin Guide" in its post, sharing photographs that showcased the results of the voting process.

The Bay of Kotor, known locally as Boka Kotorska, derives its name from the Italian word bocca, meaning "mouth."

This stunning region first emerged on the historical stage as a Greek colony.

Over the centuries, it witnessed the arrival of the Illyrians, Romans, Byzantines, and the medieval Serbian states of Duklja, Serbia, and Bosnia. It later fell under the rule of the Ottomans, Venetians, Russians, Napoleon, and Austria.

However, history alone does not sustain the Bay of Kotor. Today, its breathtaking beauty, for which so many nations once fought, belongs—if only for a fleeting holiday moment—to its visitors. Since 1997, the Bay of Kotor has been officially recognized as part of the Club of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World, an exclusive association of 28 globally renowned bays.

Whether for its rich history or stunning landscapes, the Bay of Kotor remains a jewel of Montenegro, enchanting all who visit.
