CIM Forum – the Festival of Creative Industries and Media – is entering its landmark fifth year. From May 28 to 31, 2026, Kotor will once again become a regional hub for creative industries, media, culture and innovation, bringing together professionals from Montenegro, the wider region and across Europe.
Under
the theme “Alchemy of Creation – Wizards of Their Professions,” CIM Forum 2026
celebrates the creative process itself, as well as knowledge, experience and
the people whose work shapes contemporary creative and communication practices.
Five
years of CIM Forum mark more than a jubilee – they confirm the growth of an
idea founded on encounters, dialogue and the exchange of knowledge as the basis
for the sustainable development of creative industries. What began as a local
initiative in Kotor has grown into a relevant regional platform connecting
sectors, generations and markets
Over
four festival days, Kotor will become a space for open dialogue, education and
networking, where media, creative industries, technology, innovation and health
intersect. The jubilee edition brings a strong international and regional
focus, supported by the most ambitious program framework to date.
A
special segment of CIM Forum 2026 is the UNESCO networking event, which will
gather more than 50 professionals from cultural and creative industries across
the Western Balkans, further strengthening regional cooperation and the
development of joint initiatives.
In cooperation with UNESCO partners, an international open-air exhibition will also be staged in Kotor’s Old Town, linking contemporary artistic practices with the city’s unique ambience and cultural heritage.
CIM
Forum 2026 offers a rich educational program featuring panels, masterclasses
and workshops focused on current challenges and trends in communications, media
and creative industries. A distinctive place in the program is reserved for the
Health Corner, dedicated to health as the foundation of all creative and
professional work. The official partner of this segment is AstraZeneca, further
underscoring the festival’s international standards.
The
organizers have also announced the first confirmed participants of the jubilee
edition – professionals whose expertise, integrity and influence reinforce the
festival’s reputation:
Slavoljub
Stanković, writer, philosopher, screenwriter and creative director of the
Ananas platform;
Dana
Džamić, neurodivergence consultant and founder of the ADHD Insight Hub
platform;
Jelena
Obućina, journalist, TV editor and documentary filmmaker.
CIM
Forum 2026 will also feature its traditional program segments, including CIM
Awards, presentations of Creative Montenegro projects in cooperation with the
Ministry of Culture and Media, and the Creative Market, a space for promoting
and selling artists’ works.
The
festival is held under the patronage of the Municipality of Kotor, the Kotor
Tourist Organization and the “Nikola Đurković” Cultural Center, with the
support of domestic and international partners. Telekom Crne Gore is the
official mobile network of the festival, while CKB is the official bank of CIM
Forum.
CIM
Forum 2026 remains a festival that belongs to the community – an open space for
new ideas, dialogue and collaboration. More information is available at www.cimforum.me and on the official CIM
Forum social media channels.
