The Tourist Organization of the Republic of Srpska will present its tourism offer on the Norwegian market for the first time this year.

Public Relations Associate at the Tourist Organization of the Republic of Srpska, Sanela Šimun, said that the tourism offer of Srpska will also be promoted at tourism fairs in Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia and Turkey.

She stated that they are proud of what was achieved last year, emphasizing that through various activities they worked on creating conditions for tourist arrivals and that an increasing number of visitors are choosing the Republic of Srpska as a destination they want to explore.

According to her, 514,740 tourists visited the Republic of Srpska last year, generating 1,207,068 overnight stays, which represents a 4.4 percent increase in arrivals and a 2.6 percent increase in overnight stays compared to the previous year.

When it comes to the number of overnight stays, compared to 2024, mountain destinations recorded an increase of 8.2 percent, while spa resorts saw growth of 2.4 percent. Other tourist destinations recorded an increase of 0.7 percent, including places with attractive climate, cultural and historical features, as well as river and lake areas.

Šimun added that tourists stayed in the Republic of Srpska for an average of two to three days.

As in previous years, the highest number of foreign visitors came from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro, as well as from Turkey, Germany, Austria, China and Italy.

Domestic tourists achieved the highest number of overnight stays in spa destinations, followed by other tourist locations with climatic and cultural-historical attractions, as well as river and lake resorts.

She also noted that foreign tourists recorded the highest number of overnight stays in other tourist destinations, as well as in spa and mountain areas.
