OZRENSKA KUĆICA SHOWCASES LOCAL PRODUCTS AND TRADITIONS IN PETROVO

A new tourist and commercial spot called "Ozrenska Kućica" has recently opened in Petrovo, offering visitors a chance to discover and purchase authentic homemade products from the Ozren region. Located at the entrance to the popular "Terme Ozren" complex in Kakmuž, this charming mini-complex is operated by the Tourist Organization of Petrovo, which also established the initiative.

Open daily from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Ozrenska Kućica currently features 17 local exhibitors, with expectations for that number to grow in the near future. The goal of the project is to support local producers while offering tourists a taste of Ozren through delicacies and unique souvenirs.

Dragan Gajić, Director of the Tourist Organization of Petrovo, emphasized the importance of the initiative.

“The aim of the Ozrenska Kućica project is to help promote and sell products made by local Ozren households, while also giving tourists an opportunity to take a piece of Ozren with them—whether it's cheese, honey, rakija, liqueurs, sweets, or handmade souvenirs,” said Gajić.

Looking ahead, Gajić also announced plans for an innovative children’s theme park to be built in Kaluđerica. The conceptual design is currently underway in Moscow, and the project is expected to become a standout attraction in the region.

“It will be unique in terms of both size and content, and will certainly draw many more visitors to our Ozren,” he concluded.
