Where Herzegovina becomes a story and the scent of nature replaces the noise of the city, a unique project is taking shape — Glamping Oasis Dračevo, the first of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.
Located
in the village of Dračevo, near Trebinje, this one-of-a-kind destination will
soon welcome guests looking for more than just a typical getaway. Nestled in
the heart of Popovo Polje — one of the most fertile and beautiful regions in
southern Europe, traversed by the historic Trebišnjica River — the oasis blends
unspoiled nature with a vision of sustainable, authentic tourism.
This
is not just a tourist project, but a shared vision brought to life by local
people. Behind the entire initiative is Aurora Plus, a family-owned company
from Teslić, working in collaboration with 19 other local companies and
individuals from across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia. Together,
they have united their expertise, resources, and passion for nature and this region.
The
oasis stretches across three thoughtfully designed zones, offering something
for everyone:
The
first zone, covering 3,000 square meters, includes 13 glamping domes, each 28
square meters in size and designed as cozy mini-apartments. Each dome features
a private bathroom, sleeping and dining areas, and a private terrace. Perfect
for families, couples, groups, and digital nomads, the area also includes a
safe children’s playground, an open-air swimming pool, an outdoor restaurant
space, and a communal firepit for evenings under the stars.
Glamping
Oasis Dračevo uses pure spring water sourced from a nearby
"estavelle" located 40 meters underground. The dome foundations are
hand-built using authentic Herzegovinian stone, with wooden beams brought in
from other parts of Bosnia and traditionally bound using ancient techniques
known as klamfe. Every element of the construction symbolizes a deep connection
between the diverse regions of the country.
The second zone, also covering 3,000 square meters and directly connected to the first, is a wellness and relaxation haven. It includes nine additional glamping domes and a modern wellness center with an indoor pool, Finnish sauna, jacuzzi, massage tables, and both hot and cold showers.
What
sets this area apart are the exclusive therapeutic treatments — including
sessions in a hyperbaric chamber and an apitherapy room equipped with seven
beehives. These therapies aim to improve respiratory health, accelerate
physical recovery, and strengthen the immune system.
This
zone is also home to the glamping oasis’s signature residents — turtles — and
visitors will have a chance to observe wild horses that often roam the pastures
surrounding the site, adding to the natural charm of the experience.
The
third zone, located around 1,500 meters from the first two and also spanning
approximately 3,000 square meters, offers a completely different rhythm. It
features recreational facilities such as paintball, mini football, volleyball,
archery, axe throwing, and a multifunctional obstacle course for children.
The
entire complex will be surrounded by walking trails with benches, a running
track, and several outdoor gyms — perfect for those who like to stay active
even while on vacation.
