WHERE CITIZENS OF SRPSKA USED THE MOST TOURISM VOUCHERS

During the first phase of the program in June, around 2,500 tourism vouchers were issued to citizens of the Republic of Srpska, with spas being the most popular choice for vacation and relaxation.

When it comes to spa centers, hotels operating within Banja Vrućica, as well as Terme Ozren and Banja Kulaši, stood out in particular, the Tourist Organization of Srpska told SRNA.

"The project launched by the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of the Republic of Srpska has sparked great interest. Currently, 57 accommodation facilities and six travel agencies are participating," said Sanela Šimun, Public Relations Officer at the Tourist Organization of Srpska.

She added that the second phase of the project will begin on September 1 and will run until the end of November.

Šimun reminded that the value of the tourism voucher is 100 KM, and that any adult citizen of the Republic of Srpska, as well as residents of the Brčko District who hold Srpska citizenship, are eligible to use it—regardless of their personal income.

The voucher can only be used by the person it is issued to, and it can only be used to pay for accommodation that includes bed and breakfast.

Šimun added that a single user can redeem a voucher for a minimum of two consecutive overnight stays.

Two users can use their tourism vouchers together to pay for a minimum of three consecutive overnight stays. For larger groups, the use of vouchers is arranged through a travel agency.

Šimun also noted that the tourism vouchers for vacations in the Republic of Srpska are issued in two phases, with 20,000 vouchers designated for domestic tourists and 10,000 for foreign visitors.
