"TREŠNJICA ADVENTURE" BRINGS OUTDOOR FUN FOR ALL GENERATIONS ON THE SLOPES OF KOZARA

"Thank you, tree, you're amazing!" With those heartfelt words, one of the youngest participants perfectly summed up the one-day "Trešnjica Adventure" agrotourism event, which brought together visitors from Banja Luka and Gradiška while showcasing the natural beauty and rural tourism potential of the Potkozarje region.

Designed as a unique blend of agrotourism, gastronomy, and outdoor recreation, the event introduced participants to village life, local family farms, and the rich natural resources that make this part of northern Bosnia and Herzegovina an increasingly attractive destination for nature lovers.

The adventure began at the Dojčinović family farm in Donji Podgradci, where visitors picked and tasted fresh cherries straight from the trees. The next stop was the Blagojević household in Grbavci, where participants sampled homemade fruit brandies, natural juices, and traditional local delicacies while learning more about the "Park Ljulja" project.

The program continued with a visit to the hamlet of Trešnjice, where guests explored a natural spring before enjoying a scenic three-kilometre walk through the picturesque countryside of Potkozarje, discovering the area's peaceful landscapes and unique rural atmosphere.

During the afternoon, participants enjoyed lunch surrounded by nature, attended a practical mountain survival demonstration titled "Finding Your Way in Nature," and took part in workshops designed especially for children. Visitors also had the opportunity to taste and purchase homemade products from the Miljanović family farm in Cimiroti.

"This was our third adventure event. Last year we organized the Green Adventure, and in March we held the Wine Adventure. We are planning many more events in the future and intend to make them annual traditions. We announce all invitations through our social media channels, where we are building a community of participants. Our primary focus is on families with children," said Sanja Tovarlaža from the GLS Agricultural Cluster, which organized the event together with Rural Vintage and the Trešnjice Mountaineering Club.

According to the organizers, the initiative aims to promote rural tourism, support local producers, and encourage people to spend more time outdoors. They believe events like "Trešnjica Adventure" have significant potential to strengthen the tourism offer of the Potkozarje region and the wider Gradiška area while creating memorable experiences for visitors of all ages.
