It is not uncommon for snowdrops to appear as early as January when temperatures begin to rise. This hardy plant can sometimes bloom even when temperatures remain below zero.
That
is exactly what has happened in Novi Grad, where snowdrops have blossomed this
January, marking the first signs of the approaching spring.
Snowdrops
are perennial plants that grow from bulbs and are traditionally known as the
earliest heralds of spring. Their delicate white flowers often emerge while
winter is still in full force, symbolizing resilience and renewal.
Despite
these early natural signs, spring will officially begin on March 20 according
to the calendar.
