With the arrival of warmer days, the first strawberries of the season have started appearing at markets across the region. The popular fruit is widely considered one of the symbols of spring.
The
first batches have now reached the stalls of the market in Banja Luka, where
strawberries grown in the Herzegovina region are already being sold. For this
sweet treat, buyers currently need to set aside around 10 KM for a small
container.
According
to vendors, these are early-season domestic strawberries known for their
quality and freshness.
Sellers note that the supply is still limited, but larger quantities are expected in the coming weeks, which could also lead to lower prices.
Strawberries are well known for their sweet taste and rich nutritional value, particularly their high levels of vitamin C and antioxidants.
Nutritionists point out that
they are an excellent choice for a light and healthy snack, and they are also
commonly used in cakes and a variety of desserts.
