TRADITIONAL "MUSHROOM DAYS" GATHERED 350 PARTICIPANTS IN MRKONJIĆ GRAD

The traditional "Mushroom Days" event brought together around 350 participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia in Mrkonjić Grad.

Mihajlo Lazendić, president of the Mountaineering and Ecological Society "Vidik" from Mrkonjić Grad, which organizes the event, told Srna that the participants gathered near the Balkana Lake.

Divided into two groups, they set off on either an easier or a more challenging trail to walk and collect mushrooms.

- The participants walked until 2:00 PM, trying to collect as many mushrooms as possible while enjoying the natural beauty of the area, socializing, and the sunny autumn day. Afterward, lunch was served for all participants, Lazendić said.

According to him, a mushroom exhibition was also held, prepared by Radinka Radulović, a member of the society, and attended by local mushroom expert Rade Gašić.
