WILL KOZARA BE DECLARED AN AIR SPA?

Minister of Trade and Tourism Denis Šulić has announced that an initiative has been launched to declare Mount Kozara an air spa, alongside plans for increased investment in accommodation facilities.

WILL KOZARA BE DECLARED AN AIR SPA?

Šulić emphasized that the initiative aims not only to declare the National Park area as an air spa, but the entire mountain. This, he said, will stimulate interest from the private sector to invest in the region.

“The fact that we already have 100,000 visitors per year shows there is room for strong tourism development,” Šulić stated.

During his visit to Kozara, Šulić met with representatives of local communities and institutions to discuss the upcoming winter season and planned activities to further develop and promote the destination.

Discussions also focused on the importance of investing in the national park, especially in response to tourist inquiries, which most frequently concern accommodation options. Šulić said that government decisions are moving toward ensuring additional lodging capacity.

A meeting with ski resort management and the administration of the National Park is scheduled within the next month. Notably, representatives from the Olympic Center will also attend, with the goal of establishing better connections and raising the entire offering to a higher level.

The Mayor of Prijedor, Slobodan Javor, described the meeting as constructive, highlighting the presence of mayors from neighboring municipalities and representatives from local tourist organizations. He emphasized that such collaboration shows a unified commitment to prioritizing Kozara as a key destination.
