Whether it's the chaos of traveling or the overwhelming atmosphere upon arrival, vacations can sometimes bring more stress than relaxation.
Praised as "stunning" and "unparalleled"
by various travelers on Reddit, the beautiful French city of Nice now takes the
crown as the least stressful travel destination.
A new study examined 25 European cities based on different
factors, including pollution levels, access to public transportation, the number
of saunas and wellness locations, and the number of parks and natural spots,
according to Metro.
The study also took into account buildings, beaches, and urban areas, using a formula to calculate a final score out of 100, with Nice achieving an impressive 75.4.
So, what makes the capital of the French Riviera so special?
According to HAIPP data, an incredible 94.6% of the city's population has
convenient access to public transportation, while there are 97 spas and
wellness centers.
Additionally, there's a relatively high ratio of beach to
city, with 0.5 square kilometers of golden sand.
In second place is Oslo, Norway, with a score of 75.2, while
Austria’s capital, Vienna, was recognized with a score of 68.2.
Further down the list, Turkey's Istanbul boasted the highest
number of spas and wellness spots—366 in total—finishing with a score of 60.1.
