Kopaonik, one of Serbia's most biodiverse regions, will host the "Days of Porcini" festival from September 6th to 8th, attracting nature lovers, culinary enthusiasts, and tradition aficionados.
This mountain, renowned for its diversity of mushrooms and wild edible plants, offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the natural riches through a permanent mushroom exhibition from Kopaonik.
In collaboration with experts from the Kopaonik National Park and the Mushroom Association, visitors will have the chance to learn about various mushroom species that inhabit this region.
The festival also features culinary competitions and an exhibition of ethnographic offerings, where visitors can enjoy traditional specialties, homemade products, handicrafts, and music.
A professional jury will assess the quality of the porcini mushrooms in several categories, and the best will be awarded, encouraging further innovation in the preparation and presentation of food.
