A specialist has revealed that the consumption of one type of fruit may help reduce the risk of dementia.

According to Dr. Emer MacSweeney, consuming a larger quantity of blueberries can improve memory abilities. It is believed that half a cup a day promotes brain health.

"Blueberries are rich in antioxidants, particularly anthocyanins, which help reduce oxidative stress and inflammation — two factors associated with cognitive decline," the doctor explained to The Sun.

Regular inclusion of blueberries in your diet positively affects brain function, memory retention, and reduces the risk of age-related diseases such as dementia.
